–Turn off the water supply: The water supply valve for your shower may be located behind your shower handle. If you can’t locate it, avoid using the tub to prevent further water damage.
–Check for visible blockages: If you can see and reach a buildup of hair, you can often remove it using a coat hanger or special tool. Just be sure not to push the clog further down the drain.
–Rinse with vinegar and baking soda: If you are dealing with a slow drain rather than standing water, you can try pouring baking soda and vinegar into your drain, then following with hot water. Do NOT use store-bought liquid drain cleaners.
